Fifth Ingredient: Farmhouse Ales

May 18, 2016 @ 6:00 pm

More beer education for the masses! Every Wednesday at 6pm we will pick a beer style, talk about its origins, ingredients, and characteristics, then taste several versions of the style to compare and contrast.

IMPORTANT: Everyone is asked to bring one bottle of an example of the style for sharing. 22oz or bigger bottles are better for large groups, or two 12oz bottles.

Farmhouse styles resulted from years of evolution, refinement, interpretation and re-interpretation of the simple, rustic ales once brewed on farms in Flanders and Wallonia.
